Yes, it is indeed in a cellar, but they are not ashamed of it, vice versa – this is their pride and joy, and it is highly regarded by the locals. If you want to experience old school Las Vegas classic dining, this is, definitely, the best place. Dimly lit and lined with dark wood and brick, the dining room is rather intimate. But if you would like to feel yourself really cozy, choose one of the curtained booths against the wall. The atmosphere is really romantic, enhanced by a nice custom of presenting a red rose to every female visitor.

The meal, full of ceremony, is perfectly delivered by the well-trained and friendly staff. Salads are included in the price and are prepared at your table, from a cart full of choices. The main courses are traditional and include variations of meat, seafood and chicken prepared in different ways. Entrées vary from beef fillet stuffed with crab meat and wrapped in bacon to Indonesian-spiced rack of lamb. The T-bone steak here is so tender that you can easily cut it with a fork. Vegetables and sides are excellent, as is a dessert of chocolate-dipped fruits with cream. The service is impeccable, and it really makes you feel pampered.

It is hard to find a better spot for a romantic dinner than this upscale restaurant located at the top of the Palms Hotel. Nowhere else will you be able to enjoy an unobstructed view of all of Vegas, the desert, and the mountains from every part of the restaurant. The divine dining room features three sides of full-length windows that allow a panoramic view of the night lights of Vegas. Obviously, window-side tables are best, but even seats in the center of the room have a good view as well.

This elegant restaurant is carefully overseen by André Rochat, one of the best chefs of Las Vegas, known for his artful contemporary French fare. The menu changes seasonally, but anything you order will be heavenly, like a shrimp and artichoke timbale trimmed with avocado and cucumber relish, or a tissue-thin Kobe beef carpaccio with dark pesto topping and tomato comfit. The foie gras can come in a pink-grapefruit-and-citrus-honey reduction, a tangy combination. Don't miss the stunning New York steak with summer truffle jus and potato herb pancakes, or the meltingly tender lamb chops with some shredded lamb shank wrapped in a crispy fried crepe. Such complex dishes as seared diver scallops with bacon confit, black truffles, sunny-side-up quail eggs, and caviar demonstrate the kitchen's estimable skills. Pepper-crusted filet mignon with a cognac cream sauce makes for one of the better main courses. Desserts are similarly outstanding, such as sorbet in a case of browned marshmallow, floating in raspberry soup.
