Subtropical paradise, kissed by brilliant Southern light, washed by blue-green shimmering seas that gently roll to the white sandy shore, Miami is sultry and seductive. This notorious playground for the rich and famous features South Beach, which is one of the most famous neighborhoods in the world. Chic, urban, and high glam, all year round, this 24-hour-a-day playground boasts amazingly beautiful 10-mile beach and diverse night life.

South Beach is the place to see and be seen, with ultra rich and famous cavorting around Ocean Drive in sidewalk cafes and world-class restaurants. People-watching, eating out, and hitting nightclubs are main activities in South Beach. And, of course, there is the beach itself, white and sandy, the place where super models display expensive bikinis and the perfect backdrop for nightlife and shopping. South Beach is all about style, and the wide sunny beach is the perfect place to show it off.

South Beach also has the kitschy Art Deco District which is home to over 400 registered historic buildings, specimens of Art Deco architectures. These vibrantly colored buildings represent an era when Miami Beach was heavily promoted and developed as a "tropical playground".

The buildings erected in the 1920s were designed almost exclusively in the Mediterranean Revival style, while those built in the 1930s are in the Art Deco, International, or Modern styles. The oceanfront streets of the district are lined with lovely boutique hotels and celebrity-soaked bars. Along Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue the district features the seasonal hotel area with such notable hotels as the Amsterdam, reputed to be a replica of Christopher Columbus' home in Santo Domingo, there is also the commercial area, just along Washington Avenue and Lincoln Road, and the residential area, concentrated in the eighty square blocks surrounding Flamingo Park, with one of the largest concentrations of Mediterranean style residences in the United States.

Lincoln Road Mall is a premier shopping and dining area of South Beach, with prices high, just like on Fifth Avenue in New York. Glamour costs money! There are also late nightclubs, cafes, boutiques, and a large move complex, so Lincoln Road Mall is hardly very sleepy. There is always something going on.

South Beach has an active club and bar scene, featuring more than 150 clubs and other venues, most of which close at 5 am. Its nightlife is dynamic and ever-changing, although The Clevelander and Mac's Club Deuce have remained steadfast tourist destinations on Ocean Drive for well over a decade. B.E.D. nightclub has recently been called in the television program "UberGuide", produced by Peace Arch Entertainment, as one of the top ten legendary bars in the world. B.E.D. is both a clever acronym for “Beverage, Entertainment, Dining”, and a concise description of what sets this club apart.

Florida Miami South Beach

Here everything is done on giant beds: you eat on the giant beds and you mingle on the giant beds. The food served is fantastic and imaginative, plus the atmosphere is great. After midnight, the restaurant becomes a club, and even during dinner the mood feels more like a club than a nice restaurant, so B.E.D. is probably not the best place to go for a relaxing meal. Reservations are required for dinner, and you pay a substantial amount for the privilege of eating on a giant bed, but the whole experience is definitely worth it.

South Beach is one of the world foremost locations for fashion shoots, making the Miami area the model shoot capital of the United States. Approximately 1500 models live in the area, and many more are arriving during the prime fashion shooting season, October to March. Ocean Drive is the most popular place for shoots, but back streets are often used as well.
